We enjoyed our 2-night stay on the farm. My 2 young kids enjoyed feeding goats and alpaca, petting the barn cat and meeting chickens and sheep. The evening farm tour is also fun and educational! We didn't use the kayaks but there are plenty near the river for borrow. Upon arrival, we got 2 complimentary eggs and goat/alpaca food (refillable). There's mini sink in the yurt with water dispenser bottle (non drinkable). We brought our own bbq and disposal utensils, but the yurt does equip with all utensils and dish soap. There is no fridge so bring a cooler for food and drink. We brought a case of water bottles, but you can also purchase from the farm if needed. We stayed at Caspian. It is specious inside. There's a queen bed an two day beds which are stacked together when we arrived. The mattresses were comfortable! There is one propane bbq for all yurts to share, and individual campfire pits for each yurt. Firewood is $10 per bag. I'd recommend to choose Kandy or Lyla if you are with kids and plan to use campfire. The campfire pit for Caspian is behind the yurt and the outdoor dinning table is on the other side of yurt, so we couldn't see the entrance when kids were playing inside and it makes food prepping unorganized. Besides that, it's exposed under sun in the afternoon. The campfire pits for other 2 yurts are under shade and located right next to the entrance of yurt and outdoor dinning set. The only inconvenience part was the washroom situation, which we knew in advance so we were prepared. There are 2 portable toilets shared by all yurts, and no shower. Good thing our kids are still wearing diapers at bedtime which makes it a bit easier for us! Overall, we enjoy this unique and fun experience and it was definitely worth to try especially with kids!

We had a wonderful time at riverside oasis. My grandchildren were able to walk the nature trail on their own, giving them a sense of adventure. The animals were adorable and alpacas are now my grandson's favourite animals (after his dog). The barn cat visited us twice daily which delighted the kids. The whole family went kayaking along the river and had a wonderful time. We took the barn tour and learned about all the animals and their individual personalities. The yurts were comfortable especially the beds. All in all a fabulous weekend. Thanks riverside oasis, we'll see you again.

This stay was the perfect combination of secluded and accommodating. We stayed in the Lyla yurt, rowed the canoe and kayaks, and met all the animals (and the farm family) during the farm tour. When we arrived, we were briefly introduced to the farm owner, given some quick tips, I bought firewood from him for $10 and he gave us some feed for the goats and alpacas. After we settled in, we spent time hanging out with the alpacas, who were very friendly, and feeding the very excited goats. We got extra lucky booking mid-week because we were the only family there, so we had the place to ourselves. There was plenty of open field for yard games, a communal BBQ and each yurt had its own firepit. The yurts are fairly close together, so I imagine bigger groups could hang out together easily and retire to their respective tents. Just across from the yurts is the riverside, with muskoka chairs and a short nature trail. The view in the evening is gorgeous. At 8pm, we went on the farm tour, which is basically just a chance to meet the alpacas, goats, chickens and farm cats. The family that guided us was very friendly, and their one cat, Shadow, made friends with my kids and spent a good portion of the rest of our stay hanging out with us. The yurt itself is well furnished with plates, mugs, a french press and kettle for coffee, a small propane burner, a main bed, smaller bed, and extra mattress underneath. My partner and two kids never felt crowded and slept well even though it was heatwave weather outside. There's also a solar panel so there's some limited electricity, including USB ports for charging. There are also a couple of towns nearby if you need to stock up on anything. So while we were 10 minutes from restaurants and stores, we were completely secluded under a starry sky back at the farm. It was very peaceful and fun. Thanks to the family for being so generous with your property!

One of the most unique stays in Ontario! The Mongolian yurts are beautifully decorated with cozy vintage and cottagecore touches. You’re given complimentary feed and farm fresh eggs! The entire property feels peaceful and welcoming. We loved meeting the farm animals. The hosts are kind and clearly care deeply about both their guests and animals. Complimentary kayaks and paddle boards were a great bonus, and the nearby trail was perfect for exploring. Listening to the rain on the yurt overnight was such a memorable experience. Plus, the resident barn cat is really friendly. If you’re lucky, you just might be able to lure her in for a snuggle. Don't forget bug spray, and if you're planning a campfire, firewood is available for $10. A truly special getaway that we'd happily visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Riverside Oasis Farm! Myself and my two boys 9-11 stayed in a cozy yurt which was well equipped with comfortable beds, a kitchenette, cooking essentials, a portable camping stove, and indoor wood-burning fireplace and outdoor fire pit. During our stay we participated in a farm tour, met the farm animals, collected fresh eggs, and spent time canoeing along the river. My boys especially loved interacting with the llamas, goats, sheep, chickens and barn cats. The property is peaceful, well maintained, clean porta potty (I brought my own toilet paper roll as my personal preference!) and perfect for families looking to unplug and enjoy nature. The owners were incredibly welcoming too and made us feel right at home. After a fun day of exploring, playing outdoor games that we brought, it was so nice to gather around the camp fire and roast marshmallows, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings under the stars. A unique glamping experience with enough to do for kids and adults; we would happily visit again!

10 stars if I could! We absolutely loved our stay at Riverside Oasis Farm. One of the best parts was having the freedom to go into the alpaca and goat pasture throughout the day. It was such a special experience to relax and connect with the animals. The farm tour was both educational and exciting, especially getting to watch the animals settle in for the night. It felt really authentic and memorable. We stayed in the red yurt in Kandy, which was such a unique and cozy experience. The wood stove kept things warm and inviting, and the kitchenette had everything we needed. I also appreciated the thoughtful setup with solar power, along with a charging station for electronics and the option to rent a portable battery for extra power. Such a peaceful, one of a kind getaway. We will definitely be back!

Riverside Oasis is so perfectly named as it truly is perfect peace. My daughters and I stayed in the Caspian yurt for 2 nights. It is so gloriously beautiful inside, the details are so exquisite, and the solid workmanship is so evident! We didn't need the stove the first night but when I opened it to set up the wood it was already done perfectly and I just had to light the papers ❤️. The hosts go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and having an amazing time 😊. The animals are the most darling things, the goats actually snuggle and are so clean. I could have lived with Gertrude 😅. The best part was Shadow, the beloved matriarch barn cat who likes to keep the guests company in the evenings. She cuddles right up, slept between my daughter's and was our sidekick the next day. We cannot wait to return and experience the joys of this wonderful family at Riverside Oasis. Thank you ever so much!
